For the past few weeks, I have noticed some incomplete homework. Therefore, I had made a "must-do" rule for all the students. After they complete their homework they need to check it off in their assignment pads to make sure they know they completed the work. Please also just take a look to see if they have finished homework.
If for whatever reason, your child forgets their notebook, please have them do it on a piece of paper. There should be no excuse that they weren't able to complete the homework because they forgot their notebook. However, if it is a textbook or a workbook that is forgotten, then they will do it the next morning.
Thank you for all your support again!
Dear 3-2 Families!
It's been a great start of the school year so far! We are diving right into learning how to write paragraphs! Like a delicious burger, we need to add lots of toppings and details in our writing in order to make our burger and paragraph extra juicy and full of details! We have written about our favorite season, our favorite place to visit, our favorite food, and even a paragraph on how to stay safe.
In Reading Workshop, we are also beginning to discuss about the different skills and strategies we can use to help us have a deeper understanding of the text. This week we talked about making connections and the author's purpose for writing different books.
As in Math, it's time to get multiplying! We reviewed place values, understanding how to write our numbers in standard, expanded, word, and block form. Then we eased into learning the 2, 5, and 10 multiplication facts.
We will be continuing to work on these concepts in the upcoming week! Please check out the PHOTOS section to see how they're doing!
Here's the Inside Scoop of what we're learning in Class 3-2 with Ms. Xu!
